I wish blunders to that degree drove companies with idiotic message right under.

Glad to see Motrin has pulled this ad. What a dumb goofup. One thing I found funniest: many, if not most, baby-wearing moms are also breastfeeding, and pretty much avoiding painkillers unless they really need them. Carrying my daughter in the Bjorn never really made my back hurt, just got me in shape quick after my daughter was born! Yeah, they really blew it trying to reach baby-wearing mamas. Totally missed the boat.

So, people aren’t getting why this commercial is so offensive. I’m trying to explain that it sounds exactly like this to me:

“Putting your baby in a car seat seems to be in fashion. I mean, in theory they’re great. There’s the bucket seat, the convertible, the booster. And, who knows what else they’ve come up with. Put the baby in the backseat, on the sides, in the middle, drive carefree. Supposedly it’s a real safe experience. They say that babies in car seats die less than others… Buy Motrin!”
