The newly FDA approved Alli diet pill will be available over the counter beginning June 14th. I have to say, I think I might want to try it. I’ve tried many other diet pills like Metabolife, so many more I can’t even remember their names. Why not try this one?
Well, the side effects are a bit disheartening. Uncontrollable flatulence and anal leakage. Yep, doesn’t sound pretty. I saw an advertisement that warned you to bring an extra pair of pants to work. That’s pretty bad. So is it all worth it?
From what I gather, Alli, formerly known as Xenical at a higher dosage, will not allow your body to absorb fat (or something like that). So if you eat fatty foods, you may experience the anal leakage. Now if I know that, I might be less likely to eat fatty foods, so maybe I will lose weight?
I lost 15 pounds over the last year and a half and have hit a plateau. I’m thinking this might put me where I want to be. A 5-10 pound loss would be big for me and not too much to ask right?
By the way, Alli is not being marketed to anyone under the age of 18. While other diet pills give dosage options to kids as young as 12, Alli is strictly for 18 and over.
I’ll keep you all posted if I try it.
