I keep seeing the commercial for the Cingular Red Blackberry Pearl. That phone looks so awesome. It has a sleek design and the color looks like it’d be really easy to find in my purse.

Some of the other features that are appealing is that it has a camera (my Blackberry doesn’t have a camera). It has the great email capability that my Blackberry has, but more memory for mp3’s and videos.

Hopefully my hubby will read my blog and surprise me with one of these. :)

I have a new love in my life. My mascara.

I don’t wear a lot of make up, but I always wear mascara and this new “Bad Gal Lash” by benefit is amazing. It is very thick, but not clumpy and it stays on all day. It also washes off very easily at night.

If you’re looking for thick lush eye lashes, give it a shot.

I discovered a new scent that I absolutely adore at Victoria Secret. They have these body lotions that come in all different flavors scents ie: Appletini, Passion Fruit, Strawberry Fizz, etc. IMO the best one is called Grapesicle. Now the scent is nostalgic to me because when I was growing up (in the 80’s) my favorite gum was grape Bubble Yum…and now it’s a lotion. This smells so good and lasts all day. Next time you are in Victoria Secret, test it out. I’m sure you’ll agree that it is just delicious.

Take the time during the day to treat yourself to something nice. It only takes 20 seconds to apply lotion, but you get the benefit all day.

On my recent trip to the big apple I treated myself to a visit to the Coach Store on Madison Avenue. While I was in there I got to smell the new Coach perfume. OMG, it smells so good. It has a light floral scent with a hint of vanilla.

I bought a purse spray and I adore it. It is so chic and is covered with all my favorite C’s.

This is something I would recommend putting on your wish list for Mother’s Day or a Birthday.

It’s really a great buy.

My favorite flat iron by far is the Chi. It works so fast and so well, I love it. Even in humidity, my hair survives. I wasn’t thrilled with the Chi curling iron, but the flat iron is a must have. It heats up within seconds and feels so smooth when your pulling it through your hair.

You can find this at most high end beauty supply shops. It runs about $150 bucks, but well worth it. I’ve had mine for about three years and it is still working great.

Last week on The View the ladies discussed the Louis Vuitton Tribute Handbag. This bag is a mish-mosh of older generation Louis Vuitton bags that is selling for $42,000. Mind you, there are only four available for sale in the US.

Now Rosie, being the crafty person she is said she’d go home over the weekend and make a knock off using supplies she found at Target or in her craft house. (Yes, she has a craft house). Now on any given day you wouldn’t hear me touting anything Rosie, but I have to admit, she did a pretty good job.

Can you tell which one is the real Louis Vuitton?

Rosie said today that she’d be selling her bag for charity at charitybuzz.com. By the way, Rosie’s is the second one.

I got my first Louis Vuitton bag for Christmas.  I had been wanting one for a few months now and my husband surprised me with it for Christmas.  It’s a Speedy 30 model and it’s just perfect.  Once it gets broken in, the leather will be even nicer and softer than it is now.

On the 23rd I went down to the Kodak Center on Hollywood and Highland.  I hadn’t been there since the building was completed.  It is just beautiful.  It’s weird how the parking goes down like 6 levels.  I can remember so well when they were digging that hole.  It is really a magnificent building.  Among many stores it houses a Louis Vuitton store which is where my husband made the big purchase.

5 days til what I hope will be another successful Christmas in my family.  We do live in a time where keeping up with the Jones is part of life.  Most of the time, we are the Jones.  This year, our next door neighbors went and bought 4 brand new BMW’s.  They have 2 kids one about 20 and one 15.  He can’t even drive yet.  Legally anyway.  So I have to get past that, cuz there’s no way we are keeping up with that.  I mean it’s just kinda ridiculous, but if that’s what they want, great.

My kids don’t ask for much.  I feel an obligation to them to buy them things, so that when all of the other kids open their gifts, my kids won’t be done before everyone else.  I don’t really know why this is important to me, but it is.  This year the big purchases for them were 2 digital cameras that I got on Black Friday at Best Buy at 5:45am.  A Nintendo Wii for my son which I camped out over night at Circuit City with my best friend on 12/16 and a cell phone for my daughter that she has asked for.  All the other things are things like video games, cd’s, clothes.  Things I know they will like and need anyway.

I never would have imagined myself getting Botox.  Ever.  But I did.  I started getting these deep wrinkles in my forehead when I’d raise my eyebrows.  It was fine until I started realizing that even after I’d lower my eyebrows, the crease was still there.  I was so annoyed by that and for months it was all I saw when I looked at myself in the mirror.  I himmed and hawed about getting the procedure done for months, but then with my husband’s 40th coming up and mine shortly thereafter, I felt a mid life crisis coming on and decided to go for it.

I sat in the chair and was scared to death.  The nurse gave me an ice pack and said to ice my forehead for about 5-10 minutes and she’d be back in.  So, there was no numbing cream, just ice.  When she brought out the needle and gave me the first pinch, it didn’t hurt.  I mean really, it didn’t hurt at all.  She proceeded to move the needle around to about 8 different spots and really, I didn’t feel it.

When I looked at myself in the mirror, I looked like I had been stung by 8 bees.  Kind of like I had little peas under my skin.  I was so embarrassed to think I’d have to walk out of the doctor’s office like that.  Fortunately in a matter of about 10 minutes, the bumps were gone.

The Botox took about 7 days to really kick in.  During the waiting period I’ll admit I had some anxiety about the fact that I had the bacteria in me that would be slowly paralyzing my muscles.  I was nervous thinking that it might soak through to my brain.  At that point it was too late.

Now, I’m sold.  I love it.  It is the way to go.  My husband says Botox is like pot.  It’s the gateway drug.  He has a point because I also had a Restylane injection in my ”smile” crease under my nose.  Love that too.  Scared to think what’s next.

I just got a Blackberry 8700 from Cingular.  I love it!  It is so fun.  I love the little rolly thing on the side.  I love the way it rings.  I love the way it feels.  It is perfect.  I had a Treo before, but there wasn’t good reception with it.  The Blackberry is perfect for me.

I recently started texting.  Texting is fun okay.  I am pretty fast at it too.  I like to text my kids sometimes instead of call them because it’s quicker and they can’t argue back as easily.  I can just say, “I’m coming to pick u up now”  and that’s that.  If they call me back, I don’t answer.  It’s pretty cool.

I downloaded Crazy by Gnarls Barkley as my ringtone…very fun.

All moms should have a Blackberry.
