Say good bye to those ugly pimples. Zeno is here.

Here a product testimonial that my husband and me have both agreed on. This thing really works.

I have purchased so many products that say they’ll do something, and then of course they don’t. If it’s too good to be true then it’s probably not true. Not in this case.

Zeno is a pimple treating device that somehow neutralizes the pimple. I know it’s gross, but we all get them. The worst is when you get a big red one right before you have a party or some fun thing to go to. The way it works is you turn it on, wait about a minute, then it makes this cool noise, then you push the button and put the tip on your zit. Hold Zeno there for 2 minutes and 30 seconds (It will automatically beep and stop.) FYI-The tip is hot. At first kind of too hot, but after 2-3 seconds it’s totally bearable.

So when you take it off, your skin might be a bit red for a little while, but the zit…gone.

How it does this, I have no idea. All I know is it works.

We all have tried hundreds of dollars worth of products for our face that guarantee moisture, less wrinkles, acne control, youthfulness, etc. I am telling I know I have.

After a recent trip to the dermatologist, they sent me home with samples of Cetaphil.

I am telling you try it! You can buy this at any drug store and it is cheap. It works fabulously and leaves your skin feeling smooth and clean. I’ve used in now for over 3 months and I have seen a noticeable difference in those bothersome pimples that pop up every now and then. I’ve seen less of them and I think it’s because of this new product.

Check it out! You really have nothing to lose.

BTW-The same bottle has lasted me this whole time and there is still a lot left.

Today on The View co-host Sherri Shepherd spoke candidly about her husband’s affair and on the status of her divorce. What I like about Sherri is that she holds nothing back. She is a woman that knows what she wants and will fight to get it. Her discussion about the rage that builds up inside her when she thinks of her husband’s affair is so real. She’s honest about wanting to “kill” him at times and not minding any jail time. There are so many women in the media today that have experienced something similar and won’t discuss it. Here’s the way I see it. An affair is not ok! She has every right to feel the way she does. (As long as she doesn’t really “kill” him of course.) It is natural to feel embarrassed and humiliated after such an enormous betrayal. Of course rage will set in. It’s great to talk about it so other women know that they aren’t the only ones that may be going through it.

Sherri added that she is now at the stage where it is time to forgive and move forward. Forgiving is an ongoing thing. You have to forgive every day or every time you think of it otherwise it will destroy you. When I feel rage I often turn to the Serenity Prayer. (I am not religious, but I did go to Catholic school. This one really sticks out to me.) God, give me the grace to accept the things that cannot be changed, the courage to change the things that should be changed, and the wisdom to distinguish the one from the other. Once you accept that you cannot change something, it’s easier to let it go.

She mentioned that there is even a chance (albeit small) that she may even take her husband back. They have a 2 year old son and I am sure that he will have a lot, if not everything to do with her decision.

As a fan I’ll be watching her story from afar.

Sherri has a new dvd out now. Buy it she needs the money. That’s what she said anyway.

We just got back from a 5 day trip to Mazatlan.  We stayed at the Inn at Mazatlan.  This is a great hotel.  We had an opportunity to go next door to a room at El Cid in the new tower El Toro.  The walls were so gross.  They had so much “cottage cheese” on them, it seemed as though the room was going to consume you.  I don’t think I would’ve been too happy there.

The Inn at Mazatlan offered a nice 2 bedroom 3 bathroom suite.  We stayed in Suite 1501.  We had a magnificent view of the ocean from our balcony and a view of the city from the front.  The floors are all marble with ceramic tile in the kitchen and bathrooms.  My husband and I had to laugh though when we saw the craftsmanship of the work in the rooms.  All of the corners just had clumps of putty, then someone painted over it.  There was no smoothing out.  It was comical, but did not take away from the experience at the Inn.  They also have a great restaurant there called Papagayo.    May I recommend the fish tacos?  Yum!  They offer fabulous poolside service as well and really cater to your every need.

While we were there we went and saw a baseball game.  That was weird.  Fun, but different.  We bought some pizza there and instead of sausage, they u se hot dogs.  Didn’t taste too bad, just looked strange.  The ceviche was fabulous.

In the evening we spent most of our time at Gus Gus across the street from The Inn at Mazatlan.  This is an outdoor bar/restaurant that offered some great choices on the menu.  They also have this great band that played some awesome rock while we danced and drank the nights away.

If you go to Mazatlan my only warning is don’t fall for the time share sales scam.  Eat free, free, this, free that.  Nothing is free.  If you can avoid the sales pitches it’s really a great and cheap place to go for a quick vacation.

It’s a 2 hour 40 minute flight from LAX.  The Inn at Mazatlan is about a 30 minute drive from the airport and it should cost you about $270 pesos to get there.  They even have a beach cam so you can check it out for yourself. Inn at Mazatlan Beach Cam

Well, after being in Mammoth, then Mazatlan, I came home 4 pounds heavier.  Time to detox.  No more soda, no more alcohol for 30 days.

We spent a few days in Mammoth again this year.  We’ve gone for the past 5 years because my friend has a condo there.  Mammoth is a great place to go, but oh my God, do I get bloated up there.  I mean, as soon as I get there, I feel like the Pillsbury dough girl.  The altitude doesn’t do good things for me.  This year I got this weird sinus thing and it pretty much ruined the trip for me.  It’s a good thing I’m not an avid snowboarder otherwise, I would have been pretty upset.  I took medication (Vicks Sinus) and it did nothing.

We usually stay at the Chamoneix Condos which are located right by Canyon lodge.  It’s so convenient because you can just walk up to the lodge so parking is never an issue.

I am home now and feel better and 5 pounds lighter.

So we have a friend that is like family.  He’s been my husband’s best friend for over 20 years.  Until about 2-3 years ago.  Things changed in his life.  For the better, we thought.  He got married.  Now let me be clear, we always wanted the best for this guy and we thought he was doing what would make him happy.  It was different though.  I mean it was always us and him.  Things were easy that way and we loved having him around.  When he met this girl and brought her into the picture, she tried too hard.  It just didn’t seem like it was right.  Like I said, this guy was our best friend, so we accepted her into our family, for him.

Over the past 2-3 years though, there’s been a distance that has grown between us.  Holidays aren’t the same.  We miss him.

Since my husband is turning 40, I sent him an email to ask if he’s come to the party. We haven’t talked in over a year.  To my surprise…I get an email back from her.  She tells me, he left.  I’m blown away.  We had no idea.  I reply, I’m sorry to hear, what a bummer, etc.  Not too long of an email because it was awkward.  I mean I had just invited them to this party, but really if they aren’t together anymore, I don’t want her there.   I wanted my response to be vague, but sincere.  I guess she didn’t like it though.  She sent me a reply telling me she expected a more in depth response and that her life is devastated and he left, he left.  I mean what does she want me to do or say?  We were never friends.  We were friends with her ex husband.

My husband called him tonight.  We want him back in our lives like it used to be.  It’s been too long, how did this happen?

Just dropped my daughter off at school.  She was very nervous.  I cried as she walked away.  I always cry though on the first day of school.  I guess I just feel nervous for them.  My husband took my son, so now I have the house to myself.  It is so peaceful, I figure I have some time to tell you about me now and why I started this blog.

My husband is an internet guy.  So I know a few things about blogging.  I’ve been intrigued by it for awhile and he has quite a few friends that have blogs and I try to read them as much as possible.  Mostly though, their blogs are about internet geek stuff that surpasses my level of comprehension.  Sometimes I feel like the adult in a Charlie Brown cartoon.  So anyway I figured I’d give it a go at a more personal blog about me and life where I live.

Basically I am thirty seven.  Yes, that happened quick.  I’ve been married to my husband for 15 years.  We live in a Desperate Housewives type of community.  We drive nice cars and sometimes our friends call us the “Jones’s”.  We spoil our kids at times, but not too much.  Like I said before, they are good kids.  I travel a lot.  Mainly for sports with the kids or business with my husband.  We haven’t had a “real” family vacation in over five years.  Our fifteen year wedding anniversary was spent in some white trash town in a crappy hotel because we were at a tournament with our daughter.  So as you can see, we usually put the kids first.  Just like most parents I suppose.  Like I said, we spoil them.

So, I don’t really have a job.  I work at my husbands company doing the accounting stuff.  I do volunteer work when I can.  My free time is spent at home doing household stuff.  A few times a week I hang out with my best friend from high school.  There are many days that are monotonous and sometimes lonely.  My kids are older and don’t really need me as much anymore.  Unless of course they need a ride somewhere.

So I figure with this blog…it’ll keep me busy.  I figure there are alot of women out there like me.  Although our lives can get stagnet sometimes, at times they can be very interesting and we all share similar experiences.

About me being short.  Yes I am.  I five feet tall to be exact.  The weird thing is I think of myself as being tall and don’t normally focus on my shortness.  Unless I get in the elevator with a really tall man, then sometimes it’s kind of weird.

I went to my 20 year high school reunion today.  I went to an all girls Catholic school that sits above Hollywood Blvd on Franklin and Western.

The reunion was okay.  It was kind of nice to see some old friends.  Some have changed tremendously others are just about the same.

I’m still friends with the friends that I had in high school.  There was one girl I wanted to see.  She was the one that had an allegid affair with our religion teacher.  At least that was the talk of the school back then.  I mean this girl acted like such a prude when the rumor went around about her and the teacher it seemed unreal.  I wanted to ask her about it but then figured, why bother?  I mean if it did happen she’s probably completely embarrassed about it.  If it didn’t happen, then I’d look like an ass for bringing it up.

It’s the quite ones you have to worry about.

It’s my first time in London.  In Europe actually.  The flight was about 10 hours.  We took a non stop from LAX to Heathrow.  I have to say it wasn’t too bad.  We arrived in Heathrow and it seemed like any other old airport.  It really wasn’t until I stepped outside that it hit me that we were in a foreign country.  As soon as you see the taxi line it’s so weird, but cool.  We had so much luggage that I really didn’t think it’d all fit, but we did.

We drove through London for about 40 minutes until we arrived at our hotel.  The hotel seemed just like any normal hotel until we got to our room.  I mean OMG was it small.  There were two double beds and a pull out.  Everything was so small and like I said we had so much luggage, so we barely fit in the room.  It was fine though and we were only there for 5 days so it was okay.

The food sucked for the most part.  The kids and I wandered around trying to find a decent meal.  I ordered room service…a cheeseburger with fries, thinking it’d be ok.  Yuck.  It was so nasty.  We finally found some Italian restaurants that were pretty good.  I guess the trick is not to eat anywhere that is traditional London food.

We took a tour bus to the Stonehenge and the City of Bath.  It is an ancient city with hot springs.  It was a great day really.  It rained a bit, but Stonehenge was amazing.  My kids were complaining the whole time that they were just a bunch of rocks and blah blah.  I didn’t care.  Someday they’ll appreciate it. Bath was pretty, but very commercialized.  I mean there is a Starbucks there, that was kind of weird.  We did have a great time though and loved the countryside.

I definitely want to go back and see more of Europe.
